Supermarket Simulator mod docs

Developer documentation for the Supermarket Simulator mods I build. Pick a mod to start.

Tech Tree

Put your own upgrades in the Tech Tree

Tech Tree is an upgrade tree that lives on the store computer. Since 1.3.0 any BepInEx mod can register its own upgrade lines into it: you describe the node and write the effect, Tech Tree draws it, prices it, gates it, saves it per slot and translates it.

Modding the other game?
Megastore Simulator has its own tree with the same API, and its own docs: Mega Tree. The two games do not share mods - Supermarket is IL2CPP and needs BepInEx 6, Megastore is Mono and needs BepInEx 5.

Nexus
Tips System Customers leave a tip when they are happy with the service, paid on the completed sale and summed up in the end-of-day screen. soon
Custom Intro Replaces the game intro with your own images and sound, configured in a single intro.jsonc. soon
Demand System A daily demand mechanic: some days a few products get unusually popular and customers buy extra units of them, so stocking takes a little planning. soon
Footfall Shoe prints on the shop floor as you walk around, fading away on their own. Purely cosmetic - nothing is saved and no gameplay changes. soon

Are you a player, not a modder?

Then none of this is for you, and that is fine. These pages are about writing mods that plug into mine. If you just want to install and play, everything you need is on the mod page:

Reporting something

The Posts tab of the mod on Nexus is the fastest way to reach me. If it is about the API, include the [api] lines from BepInEx/LogOutput.log - they almost always name the cause.
